IMPORTANT REMINDER…Oct. 31 is rapidly approaching and a number of things must be RECEIVED by this date, including your 2014-2015 Membership Application and payment; Race Reimbursement Forms; and casual clothing order forms and payment (i.e. hats, hoodies, polos, tshirts).  As announced at the Team Appreciation Night, the kit ordering process is different this year.  In years past apps were accepted at the kit fitting, but this is NOT the case this year…they are DUE OCT 31.  All forms are linked in this article, can be downloaded from this website, and are also in the files area of the team Facebook page. Thanks to everyone who came out for Meet & Greet Ride #2, this past Saturday in Ripon.  We had 42 riders again and more new faces! It was a fun ride and we made it back right before it started to sprinkle. We are already up to 22 NEW members with applications still rolling in and being accepted until Oct. 31. The race team is looking strong with a number of new CAT 1-3 racers joining the team in addition to a large number of CAT 4-5 riders. The women’s team continues its upward growth as well, and it looks like they’ll have about 30 members this year! Thank you so much for the support…it’s going to be a great year for the team!

The JL Velo kit fitting day will be Nov. 9, 2014 from 8:00am – 11:00am at Gerling Applied Engineering (1064 Woodland Ave. in Modesto).  You will have an opportunity to try on different sizes of the new kit and also accessories like jackets and wind vests.  We will be doing a team ride after the fitting, (ROUTE IS HERE).  We will also be adding a couple of make-up kit fitting days during the week, in the evening (details TBA).

Just a reminder, for those who weren’t able to attend the Team Appreciation Night, that the Winter Training Clinic that was scheduled on Monday, Oct. 27 at Fuddruckers has been cancelled.  Coach Scholl had a family emergency and is out of state.  Don’t worry, the event will still be happening, just at a later date.  Doug is also working on a series of Winter Training Rides (LSD) and those will be posted soon as well.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Oakdale this morning for Meet & Greet Ride #1! We had over 40 riders, met lots of new people and enjoyed a great ride together. If you missed today’s ride, don’t worry you have one more chance to ride with the team – Meet & Greet Ride #2 is coming up on Saturday, October 25th.  The second ride leaves from the Mistlin Sports Park in Ripon at 9am.  The detailed calendar listing and full details and a map can be found here.  Looking forward to seeing our new and current members at the Team Appreciation Night on Wednesday, Oct 22 at Surla’s in Modesto at 6pm. It’s going to be a fantastic year of racing and riding!

Order forms and payment for the new embroidered FSB hats, polos and hoodies, as well as the screen printed t-shirts are due Oct. 31, 2014.  Make sure your forms and payment are turned in to Jenn Vrieling by this date. Expected delivery is the week of November 17th.  Order forms are available on the team’s Facebook page and can also be downloaded from this website.  PLEASE NOTE:  This order is separate from the team’s kit order.  Thanks!

The CdV Board has reached a decision on next year’s kit manufacturer and it was announced last night that JL Velo will be our clothing supplier for the upcoming 2014/15 season. JL Velo will offer both cycling and tri clothing that members will be able to purchase. In addition to providing us with quality clothing, JL Velo has also agreed to be a team sponsor for next year!  We will be working with their Art Department to finalize the kit design and the team’s online store is also in development. Our kit fitting day this year will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 – please mark your calendars now. We will post make-up kit fitting days as well but would like to have the fitting and ordering completed early in November.  Additional details about the kit fitting day(s) and the team store will be published as the details become available.  SPECIAL NOTE:  The kit ordering process will be slightly different from last year.  Please remember that all applications for membership must be turned in with payment by October 31st.
